Niryat Bandhu at your Desktop launched by DGFT
There was a dire need of a scheme that would boost the export import business in India. The ministry has come up with Niryat Bandhu Scheme that would be bringing existing and new exporters with a training program that would enhance their capabilities in dealing with export import techniques and they would in turn boost the international trade market.
DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) would be responsible for managing and running the scheme. While it was launched officially recently, a lot of office bearers and ministry officials were present at the event.
The Objective of Niryat Bandhu Scheme
The objective of the Niryat Bandhu Scheme is to guide and train exporters to indulge in effective and more productive ways of export import business. This scheme would benefit the existing as well as budding exporters. However, the scheme’s focus would be more on the potential exporters and guide them through counseling sessions, orientation programs and modules like individual facilitation so that they may get into the best international practices of trade and in turn boost the Indian economy.
In the year 2014-15, more than 18 thousand participants were provided with orientation on the import-export business under the Niryat Bandhu Scheme. This had benefited all the participants. With the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 being in place, the government wants that it would boost the former with Niryat Bandhu Scheme and achieve the desired results in line with the ‘Skill India’ program.
Collaboration with Indian Institute of Foreign Trade
The scheme would be handed over to the concerned officials who would tie up with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, which is a centre for human resource department working in the area of foreign trade. That is the place from where a lot of export import professionals and entrepreneurs pass out every year. There could have been no better place that IIFT to get the Niryat Bandhu course from.
The Online Program of Niryat Bandhu Scheme
The Niryat Bandhu scheme trainings would be imparted to exporters and entrepreneurs in the field of export import. The program would empower exporters and entrepreneurs to acquire the basic essentials of import export business. It is noteworthy here that all this would be done online and thus enable the person to get trained at the comfort and convenience of their own. They could be sitting at their homes or office and can learn the training module through their laptops or desktops. There would be a direct transmission of the training session to the respective desktop. After the sessions are over, they would be following with an online examination to ensure that the trainee has acquired sufficiently from the training session. Moreover, trainees can raise their queries and question on things that they could not understand and the trainers would have to clarify their queries to the best of their satisfaction.
With such awareness and skill alleviation schemes launched by the government of India, we hope that the Skill India program would soon become a success. In fact, schemes like Skill India, Make in India, Niryat Bandhu Scheme, etc. are connected with each other. The success of one scheme would ensure the success of remaining others.
